E-commerce Management and Market Research Assistant

In this position, I was involved in supporting the operation of the online store through the Etsy platform. My duties included:

Managing and optimizing product listings on Etsy.

Researching printing workshops and advertising companies on a global scale.

Creating listings aimed at promoting products and increasing sales.
This experience helped me become familiar with listing tools and e-commerce processes, but the compensation of €100 proved insufficient to cover basic needs, which led me to discontinue the collaboration on August 17.
Graphic Designer (Through Training Program)
August 2023 - March 2024
I created illustrations (art cards and posters) as well as handmade and digital stickers. The artworks were based on our creative ideas and were printed to be promoted as physical products for sale at Redy.Shop, a store that also functions as a design studio simultaneously.

We designed signs and signage for hotels, including roads, directions, rooms, spaces, and venues. We were responsible for changes in room layouts and floors. We created sketches for signage and presentations for each project.

We created printing instructions, plotter designs, and engravings based on customer orders. After completion, we checked for possible errors and made necessary corrections. Completed files were organized by the order date. The files were tailored to the specifications of each client company.

During this month, I collaborated through the company DG artist with the photography studio Cinema DM, owned by Dimitris Marakis, who specializes in wedding and baptism photography, as well as with other photography studios that emerged later. My main task was the creation of business cards. In some cases, depending on the client's needs, I also designed professional folders, although most clients preferred only cards. The completion of each project usually required two days: one day for creation and an additional day for final checks and corrections. Once the review was completed, the final file was sent to the client for use.

In collaboration with the Manolis Tavern in Skala, Kefalonia, I undertook the creation of a new menu using Adobe Illustrator. The work included:

Categorizing and organizing the products into five A5-sized pages.

Preparing the file for printing on parchment paper.

Designing the presentation: The pages were placed on a wooden base, with the tavern's logo engraved on it to add a traditional aesthetic and uniqueness.

Graphic Designer & Digital Artist (Internship)

I was involved in various creative projects, encompassing comics, memes, and digital frames tailored for personalized items such as mugs, bags, mouse pads, shoes, and shirts, with a primary focus on the Evzone-themed initiative. I've also contributed to concept designs, logos, and delved into the realm of mobile video game development, transitioning from 2D to 3D before unforeseen challenges led to its cancellation. Despite this setback, we redirected our efforts towards the Evzone project and continued its development. In a subsequent role, I collaborated on logo and business card concepts, finalizing designs through mutual agreement. Additionally, I utilized Photoshop to craft digital frames for clients interested in printing family photos, particularly on mugs, on behalf of my second boss. However, my primary dedication remained with the projects of my first boss.

My name is Despina-Maria Zapanti, a graphic design graduate based in Athens. I've been passionate about art and design since junior high, leading me to pursue a career in graphic design, character concept arts or illustration, even as a freelancer. I completed my graphic design studies in November 2022 after an internship from November 11, 2021, to July 15, 2022.
Seeking new creative ventures drives me. I aim to explore diverse opportunities and grow professionally. Even though I am still a junior Graphic Designer, I'm eager to contribute positively to any role I undertake. For me, a harmonious work environment is crucial, where personal issues don't interfere with professional commitments.
